Reservation Policy and Terms of Sale

  1. To reserve a kid from one of our planned breedings, please e-mail us at halfacrewoodflorida@gmail.com to request your reservation. We retain the right to grant or deny reservations, and to withdraw reservations on any animal at any time. Reservations are not confirmed until your $100 deposit is received. Deposits are non-refundable. If you choose not to purchase the animal on which you have placed a deposit, your deposit will not be refunded to you. If we exercise our right to withdraw your reservation, we will inform you of such decision and writing, and only under this circumstance, will your deposit be refunded.

  2. If the breeding you have chosen does not produce a doeling or a buckling that matches your reservation request, you will have the option to transfer your reservation to another breeding within the same year or the following year. At this time, we only take 1 doeling and 1 buckling reservation for each breeding, to ensure this occurrence is minimal. We do not offer reservations for bucklings from first freshener does, and we do not sell intact bucklings from first freshener does.

  3. We will notify you by e-mail or text message when your reserved kid is born. You will have 7 days beginning at the time of our notification to you to pay the remaining balance on your kid. If your payment is not received by that time, your deposit will be forfeited and your kid will become available for sale to others.

  4. You must pick up your reserved kid within 30 days of their birth. Failure to do so will forfeit your deposit, and your kid will become available for sale to others. We do not offer boarding services after the 30 days from birth have passed.

  5. You are responsible for picking up your kid. We do not offer transport services, but we will be happy to work with any transporter you have hired for your kid. We will not transfer kids to an airport, and you must arrange for this transport if you are shipping by air. All shipping must be paid for and arranged by the buyer.

  6. All kids will have the cost of registration with ADGA added to their purchase price, and will be registered by us before sale ($15 fee, plus a $5 shipping/handling fee implemented by ADGA). We reserve the right to name all animals. We also tattoo all of our kids prior to sale. We do not microchip for you. We vaccinate our kids with the CDT vaccine at 8 weeks and 13 weeks old. If your pick up is scheduled prior to this timetable, your kid will NOT have been vaccinated, and you will need to ensure they receive these vaccinations. Your will receive a health record of any treatments your kid has received upon pick up, and we respond to any inquiries for such information promptly.

  7. If you are purchasing from outside the state of Florida, a CVI is required to ship. The cost of the CVI will be added to the purchase price of your kid, and we will provide you with the CVI upon pickup (approximately $30).

  8. If you are purchasing an intact buckling, the cost of DNA testing will be added to the purchase price of your kid. We will be responsible for collecting and submitting this DNA to ADGA for parental genetic verification.

  9. We accept cash, Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, and credit cards. Checks are accepted for deposits prior to pick up, but must be cleared before pick up. Checks are not accepted at time of pick up.

  10. We retain first right of refusal on the resale of any of our goats. All goats must be first offered back to us at a fair market price before being resold.

  1. When buying a kid or any goat that is already born, a "direct purchase", the total price is due in full at the time of purchase.

  2. If your goat is registered, we will provide you with a copy of the signed certificate at the time of pick up. The original certificate will be submitted to ADGA by us, and the cost of the transfer will be added to the purchase price of your goat (approximately $8 with an additional $5 shipping & handling fee, implemented by ADGA).

  3. To purchase one of our goats for sale, please e-mail us at halfacrewoodflorida@gmail.com with your request to purchase. We retain the right to deny any request to purchase on any animal.

  4. Once we have approved your request to purchase, you have 7 days to remit the full price of the goat to us. Your payment will include a $100 non-refundable deposit, and the remaining purchase price of the goat, which is refundable.

  5. Once you have paid for your goat in full, you have 30 days to pick up your goat. We do not offer boarding services past those 30 days. If you do not pick up your goat within 30 days, your $100 non-refundable deposit will be retained, and the remaining purchase price will be refunded to you. The goat will then become available for sale to others once again.

  6. We clearly mark sales ads with whether a goat is being sold registered, or not. We will not register a goat after sale. If you purchase an unregistered goat from us, that goat is to remain unregistered.
