It's finally October! And you know what that means? It's time for some pumpkin spice!
In this class, we will teach you how to make this pumpkin sourdough! We go over everything from start to finish, so beginners are welcome! We will teach you how to feed and maintain your starter, how to make the dough for this lovely pumpkin sourdough, how to prove, and how to shape it before baking to achieve this pumpkin shape! This pumpkin sourdough is full of fall spices, but is not so overwhelmingly pumpkin that you can't use it for sandwiches (our favorite is turkey, cheddar, and cream cheese!).
We do not bake the sourdough dough we prepare in class, but we show you all the steps in detail up until baking! We will then have a finished loaf to share with the class, so everyone can taste this fall season delicacy!
Active and dehydrated sourdough starter will be available for purchase at the class at the discounted class rate ($8 for a jar of active starter, and $7 for dehydrated starter with booklet). Active sourdough starter will be available for purchase at the class for a discounted class-rate of $8 per jar. Dehydrated sourdough starter and accompanying instruction booklet will be available for purchase as well for a discounted class-rate of $7.
